The purpose of the WMC WG is to discuss and research the issues associated with the inclusion and advancement of women and minorities in the Cyber Security field.

Our History

Founded in 20112 as  a 2013 ACM Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE) conference WG, NSF funded travel to Kent for all WG members.Since 2012, hosted meetings at several Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) conferences and the NSA CAE Community meetings.
The working group hosts workshops for women and minorities in cyber security. The goal of these  workshops is to contribute towards increasing the number of qualified cyber security workers produced by community colleges and four year institutions by targeting women and minorities in cyber security.
